[0:00] How can you date and be married to a woman who believes the world would be better if it was ran by only women? They also believe that men have completely destroyed this world. How does that relationship work? It works great. Because I also believe that the world would be better off if it was run by women. The world leaders in recent history who have plunged us into war after war after war have been men. The industry leaders who have built our economy on the exploitation of the working class are men. People preventing us from getting affordable health care and affordable housing [0:32] and affordable grocery prices are men. So why do I think that women would do a better job? Because when given the opportunity, they do a better job. A really good book to read on this topic is banker to the poor. That book outlines how you have very different outcomes when women are in charge of finances versus men being in charge of finances. And these same outcomes show up in every culture around the world. If you give the money to the man in the household, they are more likely to spend it on alcohol, on food for themselves, on clothing for themselves. They are more likely to spend it on things that they want. [1:03] They feel like it is their money. However, when you give that same money to the woman in the household, she is more likely to buy clothes, For the kids. She's gonna buy food for the kids. She's gonna pay for the kids school fees. She's gonna pay for everyone's healthcare. She is going to spend that money mostly on the kids, but on the family as a whole. This isn't a matter of opinion. This is just actual outcomes. If you give money to women, you have better outcomes for the community, better outcomes for the family, and better outcomes for the kids. That might not be true in every household, but statistically speaking, it is true. Give money to women if you want good outcomes. [1:35] But if women take control of positions in government, does that benefit society the same way it does when women take control of finances? Well, unfortunately, there aren't that many examples of countries where the majority of the leadership are women. But one good country to look at as an example is Rwanda. Twenty years ago, there was a genocide in Rwanda. And a lot of men did not survive that genocide. And a lot of men went to prison because of participating in the genocide. And that means for the last 20 years, the vast majority of congressional seats in Rwanda have been held by women. [2:06] So let's look at Rwanda's economy. This is their G D P. In billions of dollars. Men. Genocide. Women. What? Women being in charge of the government is good for the economy. Let's look at infant mortality rates. Men. That big spike is The genocide women. Ah. It's like a third of what it was before women took charge. Maybe that's because the women and government in Rwanda put a lot of energy into building a robust healthcare system. More than 90% of people in Rwanda have healthcare coverage [2:37] through communal healthcare that costs about $2 a year. Yes. My wife believes that we would be better off with women in positions of power, and I agree with her. And how does that affect our relationship? It doesn't. She loves me. She treats me great. We have a great relationship. All it really means is that we hold hands and we walk to the polling place and we vote for women every chance we get.
