this is 1/10th of my reality as a photographer. there’s been times as a photographer where i could barely afford bills but strangers online have taken my hard work, my time, my effort, my art to use it for their own gain. i hate pinterest slideshows because it’s so weird for me to see people gain from other people’s work. there’s something to be said for curation, but curation without credit is just theft. i’ve sent out so many dmca’s, c&d’s, invoices, all to just wake up the next day and see it happen all over again. now, i’ve mainly given up. if it’s not your photo, it shouldn’t be your pinterest or tiktok upload.
