There are still scores of men who view marriage as a system by which they "provide" in order to rent a woman's body.  Fully acknowledging they want to return to coercive and controlling relationships whereby men provide money, in return for women's labor and intimacy, never once understanding why it might be that a 60 year long movement has sought to liberate women from this. Yet that system, they acknowledge, lacks the affection, appreciation and love they yearn for. Because control can't coexist with affection, appreciation with being held hostage. The sooner these men liberate themselves from the expectation of these "survival" marriages, the sooner they'll find the loving partnerships that are absent from their lives.
